He was predeceased by: his wife Martha (Langley); and his sister Marilyn Ferrell. He is survived by: his children, Janice Long (Miles), Robert Smoker (Vicky) and Karen Payne (Denis); and his siblings, Kenneth Smoker and Loretta "June" Wilber. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
