He was predeceased by: his parents, John Reed McConnell and Dorothy Ellen McConnell (Waterman); and his sister Nancy Brunin. He is survived by: his children, Nancy Burghart (Gregory) of Tecumseh, Kathy Johnson (Thomas) of Topeka and Daniel McConnell (Tricia) of Topeka; his grandchildren, Alex Burghart, Jenna Burghart, Storm Burghart, Blaine Johnson, Evan Johnson, Sean McConnell and Tanner McConnell; and his pet Lucy.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (312 NE Freeman Ave, Topeka, KS 66616). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery (801 SW Westchester Rd, Topeka, KS 66606).
