It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert J. Schamel of Stockton, Kansas, who passed away on December 1, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Robert J. Schamel to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Schamel and Esther Schamel (Junker); and his siblings, Donald "Doc" Schamel (Joan), Helen Walz (Walt), Elsie Werschke (Ewald), Ruth Stewart (Orville), Iona Harned (Gaylord), Roberta Brooks (Gerald) and Esther Seelacek.
He is survived by: his wife Doris Allacher of The Woodlands, TX; and his children, Kevin Schamel of The Woodlands, TX and Kaylyn Meredith (Steve) of Thousand Oaks, CA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 8th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Plumer-Overlease Funeral Home (723 N 1st St, Stockton, KS 67669). A celebration of life was held on Monday, December 9th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Stockton Church of Restoration in Stockton, KS.. A funeral service was held on Monday, December 9th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Indian Hills Cemetery. A burial was held on Monday, December 9th 2024 at the same location.
