She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest H. Grau and Mathilda Grau (Vogel); and her husband Richard C. Merklein. She is survived by: her children, Dale Merklein (Lisa) of Salina, Dwight Merklein (Zita) of Thermopolis, WY and Sally Pywell (Mark) of Burdett, KS; her siblings, Delwin Grau (Lorine) of Littleton, CO, Melvin Grau (Grace) of Phillipsburg and Leanna Driggs (Doug) of Phillipsburg; her sister-in-law Betty Zillinger; her aunt Norma Preuss of Stuttgart; and her grandson Lane Pywell of Wichita. She is also survived by several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
