He was predeceased by: his parents, David G. Northup and Leona M. Northup (Cotten); his siblings, Shirley Axelson and James Northup; his father-in-law Wade Barnett; his brother-in-law Richard Rains; and his niece Charlene Liddeke.

He is survived by: his wife Kim Northup; his children, Tabor Northup of Stockton, Shaudel Bain (Joe) of Hays, KS and Christine Maupin (Wade) of Overland Park, KS; his sister Beatrice McDaneld (Kent) of Goddard, KS; his siblings-in-law, James Axelson of Stockton, Dave Barnett (Janice) of Yukon, OK, Patty Northup of Phillipsburg, KS, Darci Rains and Kiera Pollard (Larry) of Spickard, MO; his mother-in-law Juanita Barnett of Goodland, KS; and his grandchildren, Alexis Larson, Ella, Ainsleigh, Liam Bain, Carolina and Temprance Northup. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
