He is survived by: his parents, Gregg Gartrell and Susan Gartrell of Stockton; his siblings, Ethan Gartrell (Rena) of Basehor, KS and Heather Mentzer (Nathan) of Colony, KS; and his nieces and nephews, Elijah, Case Mentzer, Spencer Gartrell, Jeanie Mentzer and Guinevere Gartrell.
