She is survived by: her siblings, Marilyn Fairborther, Kathleen Holmes, Thomas, Ronald, Llewellyn, Joseph and Eleanor Burkett; her grandchildren, Apolo, Orion, Layla, Michael, Nicholas, Miranda, Jude, Leif, Luke and Miles; her husband David Harkleroad; her children, Ranae, Allen, Alex and Derek; and her siblings, Kathie, Joe and Jamie.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations for the installation of a memorial bench in the Overland Park Arboretum, one of Carol's favorite places.
