We are sad to announce that on October 10, 2024, at the age of 82, Arlene Marietta Holmes of Stilwell, Kansas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the sacred silence of farewell, Arlene Marietta is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Arlene Marietta's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Magdalene Swaters (Bettels) and Bernard Swaters of Montrose, MO.; and her siblings, Joan Gieselman and Bob Swaters. She is survived by: her husband Sonny Holmes; her brother Jim Swaters; her grandsons, Cameron and Brody Fisher; and also, Cameron and Brody Fisher. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 15th 2024 from 9:40 AM to 10:00 AM and from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church (606 Kansas Ave, Montrose, MO 64770). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, October 15th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the St. Mary's Cemetery (1298 SW 700 Rd, Montrose, MO 64770).
