He was predeceased by: his parents, Russel Winfield and Millie Elizabeth Heter Gard; his daughter Charity Ann Gard; and his brother John W. Gard. He is survived by: his former spouse Pat McMurphy; his wife Amy Crabtree; his children, William Boswell of Austin, TX, Jessie Boswell of Satellite Beach, FL and Carlie Anne Boswell of Omaha, NE; and his siblings, Dan Gard (Ann) of Salina, KS, Maggie Lantez, Lewis Wacker of Lincoln, KS, Joe Gard (Kristy) of Salina, KS and Jessica E. Gard of Salina, KS. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Memorials may be given to American Legion Post #128 Sterling in care of Birzer Funeral Home, Sterling.
