He was predeceased by: his father John Wells; his brother Michael Wells; and his nephew Timothy Whittier. He is survived by: his mother Gloria Wells; his siblings, John Wells (Linda), Gary Wells, Bryan Wells, Ronald Wells, Charlotte Wells (Charles Kepford), Trina Wells, Nova Wells and Hope Wells; and his son Jacob Wells.
