He was predeceased by: his parents, Alto Harold "Bill" and Viola Grace Fox Tilton; his wife Dorothy Fern Jones; and his siblings, LaVerne, Jim Tilton and Marie Tilton Wegner.
He is survived by: his children, Richard of Sterling, KS, Lane Tilton of Sterling, KS and Christa Tilton Bishop (Kelly) of Leoti, KS; his grandchildren, Sabrina Pipkin, Brad Tilton, Rebecca Skalinder (Dakota), Lillian Martinez (Jose) and Kyla Owens (Paden); and his great grandchildren, Jeremy, Weston Pipkin, Kholby Deforest, Nayeli Martinez, Kelly Bishop Owens, Mesa Rae Owens, Mercy Johanna Owens, Raegan Leola Owens and Bryson Pruitt.
Memorials may be given to United Presbyterian Church, Sterling or American Legion Post 128, Sterling in care of Birzer Funeral Home, Sterling.
