It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Everett Glenn Smith of Sterling, Kansas, born in Madison, Kansas, who passed away on September 5, 2020, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Merle E. Smith and Helen M. Allen Smith; his brothers, Jimmie Dean and Paul Smith; and his son A. Lee Thompson.
He is survived by: his spouse Verta I. Thompson (Anderson); his children, Doreen Farmer (Allan) of Sterling, Norris Smith (Rosie) of Sterling, Pam Stansel (Lynn) of Hutchinson, Mitch Thompson of Sterling and Donnie Thompson (Natalie) of Alden; his brother Ralph Smith (Pat) of Ellsworth; and his sister-in-law Verna Smith of Hutchinson. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be given to the Sterling Police Department or the Rice County EMS in care of Birzer Funeral Home, Sterling.
