We are sad to announce that on June 25, 2024, at the age of 80, Carolee Marcella Porter of Sterling, Kansas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Edna Sneath and Bayse; and her brothers, Virgil Sneath, Harold Sneath, Gary Sneath and Clyde Sneath.

She is survived by: her children, Jim Porter (Judy) of Bushton, KS and Cathy LaTourell (Dan) of Sterling, KS; her siblings, Eddie Sneath (Sherry), Earl Sneath (Alice), Gerold Sneath (Kathy), Donnie Sneath (Darla), Laura Halford, Judy Sneath and Cheryl Swisher (Marvin); her grandchildren, Tyler, Andy, Jill, Brooke, Michelle, Carlie, Luke and Cylie; and her great grandchildren, Lydia, Karah, Dex, Colton, Dakota, Kadence, Wren and Carson. She is also survived by numerous in-laws, and nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be given to Geneseo American Legion Auxiliary in care of Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons.

“When I first met Carolee as a young teenager, she entirely changed my life. She was proof that a person can follow their own drum. So independent as a married female with children. She believed and made me believe that you can do anything you strive to do. she epitomized hard work, totally honesty and constant fun. Yes, she was "different", but I loved her and have often thought of her even though I haven't had the chance to see her in many years. Condolences to the entire Sneath Family.”
