He was predeceased by: his parents, Allen Garrett and Eleanor Durrell Garrett; his sisters, Marjorie Deering, Mildred Garrett, Pauline King, Lois Cox, Dorothy Dozier and Evelyn Garrett; and his son-in-law Jerry Rich.
He is survived by: his wife Connie; his children, Blaine Garrett (Wendy), Shannon Garrett (Kimberly) and Kim Rich; his sisters, Ethel Hastings (Allan J.) and Edith Peterson; his grandchildren, Beth Asbury (Ryan), Alaina Garrett, Audrey Koehler (Jeremy), Jayleene Garrett and Taylor Garrett; and his great grandchildren, Brandon and Brent Asbury.
In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to First United Methodist Church of Sterling, Hope in the Valley Equine Rescue, or, Sterling Presbyterian Manor, and in care of Old Mission – Heritage funeral Home, 528 N. Main, Hutchinson, Kansas.
