Walter James Zimmerman Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Walter James Zimmerman of Stafford, Kansas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 12, 2024 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jake Zimmerman and Irene Zimmerman; his wife Zita Zimmerman; his daughter Kathleen Sutherland; and his granddaughters, Chasity Helms and Jennifer Koerner.
He is survived by: his children, Tim Zimmerman (Paula) of Sacramento, Paul Zimmerman (Lori) of Haysville, Kansas and Debbie Koehn; and his sister Norma Brungardt (Laverne) of Hays, Kansas. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Charter Funerals - Great Bend (2115 Washington St, Great Bend, KS 67530). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Patrick Catholic Church (4100 Broadway Ave, Great Bend, KS 67530).
The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association in Walter's memory.
