Roch Thornton wrote a sympathy message

“I knew Greg as a Phi Delta Theta fraternity brother at Kansas State. He was a friendly, dependable, hard-working guy who was a bit too mature for some of our beer-soaked shenanigans. My best memory of Greg is when he decided to try skydiving. There was a skydiving facility near Manhattan so he went there, took the training, went up and jumped. Then he turned in his gear and came back to the house. I asked him whether he was going back for more skydiving and he said simply, "No." Not his thing.”
