He is survived by: his children, Brad Schmidt (Kelly Schmidt) of Arlington, KS. and Kathi Keesling (Jeff Keesling) of Sylvia, KS.; his grandchildren, Jeramie Schmidt of Arlington, KS., Chadd Schmidt (Jesse) of Arlington, KS., Kecia Schmidt of Arlington, KS., Piper, Baron Schmidt, Avaree, Emersyn Keesling, Harrison, Layna, Millie Gene Keesling, Jaxton and Eli Jones; and his brother Larry Schmidt (Sylvia).
Donations may be made to the Hospice House of Reno County and the CARES Foundation, in honor of Gerald's Great Grandson, Baron Schmidt.
