He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar C. Smith and Nellie Smith (Shryock); his siblings, Beryl, Glenn Smith, Jean Fox and Opal Askins; and his grandson Chris Seidl.

He is survived by: his spouse Germain E. Suiter (Odom); and his children, Randy Smith of Woodward, OK. and Kathie Howell of Hutchinson, KS. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

Memorials may be given to the Macksville Christian Church in care of Minnis Chapel, P.O. Box 34, St. John, KS 67576.
