She was predeceased by: her father Max E. Weir; and her stepfather Dale Donham. She is survived by: her husband Robert L. Morton; her children, Jon Morton and Amy Morton Hsu (Charles); her mother Josephine Weir Donham (McCoskey) of Vermont; her brother Brent Weir; and her granddaughter Josephine.
In lieu of flowers, her family requests donations to be made in her honor to the Great Dane Club of Greater Kansas City ((816) 589-1946), a cause very dear to Melissa's heart.
