He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Ray and Sylvia Nita Kern (Watson); his wife Barbara; and his daughter-in-law Norma. He is survived by: his mother-in-law Barbara Baker; his children, Michael Kern and Janet Kern; his granddaughters, Tasha Hopewell (Jeremiah) and Amanda Bitter (Rob); his great grandchildren, Brant and Charlotte; and his brother-in-law Homer Baker (Sharon). He is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
