He was predeceased by: his parents, Stephania "Fannie" Licci Slapar and Frank Slapar; his son-in-law Aaron Callaway; his sister Marilyn Wade; and his nephew Lonnie Slapar.
He is survived by: his daughters, Linda Lowdermilk (Bruce) of Spring Hill and Jana Callaway of Girard; his grandchildren, Christen Smith (Nathan) of Blue Springs, MO, Wesley Callaway (Heather) of Leavenworth, KS and Brandon Callaway (Shelby); his brother Frank Slapar (Claudette); his nieces and nephews, Larry Slapar (Debbie), Lloyd Slapar (Nikki), Lynette Schmidt (Dan), Jim Wade (Connie) and Susan Thompson (Kent); his sister Karolyn Hanks (Harman) of Girard; his niece Deanna Hanks; and his nephew Curtis Hanks (Randee) of Girard. He is also survived by grandchildren, as well as eight great-nieces, five great-nephews and several great-great nieces and nephews.
