He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl B. Flanagan and Ruth Elnora Flanagan (Hadlund); his wife Virginia Peterson; his son Michael Flanagan; and his siblings, Robert Flanagan, John Flanagan, Lila L. Bunkey and Martha Pierce.
He is survived by: his daughter Terri Flanagan; and his grandsons, Mike D. Flanagan II and Evan O. Flanagan (Sarah). He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
