He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael "Joe" Hines and Charlotte S. Hines (Schaffer); his wife Florence Stramel; his son Kevin; and his sister Joan Brock.
He is survived by: his children, Athena Moen (Dennis), Dale Hines (Sandy), Alan Hines (Julie), Gary Hines (Joleen), Rick Hines (Karla), Connie Schuette (Mike) and Sandra Junge (Tom); his daughter-in-law Susan Hines; and his sisters, Marcella Griffin and Mary Jane Stramel. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to Hospice of the Prairie or Southwind at Spearville both in care of Ziegler Funeral Chapel, 1901 N. 14th Ave., Dodge City, Kansas 67801.
