It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kenneth Vowell (Spearville, Kansas), born in Blackwell, Oklahoma, who passed away on August 1, 2019, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugh Vowel and Lara Vowel (Parks); and his siblings, Helen Beard (Vowel), Walter "Ray" Vowel and James Vowel.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann Chase; his children, Patty Sanko (Mark) of Spearville and Thomas Vowell (Kate) of Winnipeg, Canada; his granddaughters, Cassie Sanko of Spearville and Fiona Vowell of Winnipeg, Canada; his brother Max Vowel (Marian) of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and his sisters-in-law, Diane Vowel of Rockledge and Donna Wallingford of Siloam Springs.
