It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donna M (Schrag) Wedel of South Hutchinson, Kansas, born in Pretty Prairie, Kansas, who passed away on January 15, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman H. Schrag and Viola Schrag (Graber); her husband Harland Wayne Wedel; and her son Monte Wedel. She is survived by: her daughter Diane Siemens (Kent) of Lenexa; her daughter-in-law Karen McKown-Wedel of Arkansas; her grandchildren, Lindsey Iles (Blake) of Olathe, Cassie Hawkins (Jarreau) of Olathe, Preston Wedel of Island Park, ID and Makenzie Wedel of Kansas City, MO; her great grandchildren, Camden of Olathe, Braden Iles of Olathe, Emery of Olathe, Aven Hawkins of Olathe and Sannto DeMint of Kansas City, MO; and her sisters, Florene Krehbiel of Pretty Prairie and Leann Toews (Jerry) of Goessel.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM and on Sunday, January 19th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Elliott Mortuary (1219 N Main St, Hutchinson, KS 67501). A memorial service was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First Mennonite Church (52 Rambler Rd, Hutchinson, KS 67501).
