It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara J. Fry in South Hutchinson, Kansas, born in Hutchinson, Kansas, who passed away on March 25, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Barbara departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Barbara. Though Barbara may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William A. McGill and Freida M. McGill; her son Roger S. Carson; and her granddaughter Elizabeth Palmatier. She is survived by: her daughters, Tammy R. Koop-Rivera of Kansas, Misty D. Koop-MacKay of Missouri and Kristy L. Volpi of Idaho. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Heritage Funeral Home & Cremation (528 N Main St, Hutchinson, KS 67501). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, April 2nd 2025 at the Old Mission Heritage Funeral Home (528 N Main St, Hutchinson, KS 67501).
