With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Duane Vawter of Solomon, Kansas, born in Burlingame, Kansas, who passed away on April 23, 2021 at the age of 81. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Duane Vawter to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Leslie Vawter and Clara Vawter (Henry); his wife Betty Lister; his siblings, George and Dorothy; his stepson Eddie; and his grandson Steven.
He is survived by: his nieces, Cathy Detrick (Bryan) of Kansas City and Robin Basto of Blue Springs; his granddaughter Kathy Bricker (Randy) of Solomon; his great-nieces, Nikki, Kelsi, Victoria and Jacqueline; his great-nephew Patrick; his great grandchildren, Stephanie Martinitz (Nathan), Jessica Boyd (Josh) and Brandon Bricker; his great great grandchildren, Matthew, Christopher, Shaylin, Cheyanne, Alison and Tucker; and also, Julia, Aaron and Lukas. He is also survived by the step father to her 5 children.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be given to and Animal Shelter or to Interim HealthCare of Salina.
