He was predeceased by: his parents, Gustaf Bengtson and Augusta Bengtson; his wife Marge; and his siblings, Axel, Raymond, Erick Bengtson, Irene McCormick, Evelyn Reed, Ruby Fulton, Grace Johnson and Virginia Lilly.
He is survived by: his sons, Mike Bengtson (Pam) of Austin and David Bengtson (Mary) of Wichita; his grandchildren, Charlie Bengtson, Emily Henzlik (Coleby) and Sloan Bengtson; and his great grandchild Wade Henzlik.
A memorial has been established at Salemsborg Lutheran Church, 3831 West Salemsborg Road, Salemsborg, Kansas 67456.
