It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joann Fern Hrabe in Smith Center, Kansas, born in Quinter, Kansas, who passed away on February 3, 2025, at the age of 61, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard Hrabe and Linda Hrabe (Bedore); her grandparents, Amos, Opal Hrabe, Bill and Velma Bedore; and her stepgrandmother Ruby Bedore.
She is survived by: her siblings, Chris Hrabe (Cheri) and Shannon Schmidt (Jay); her nieces and nephews, Kyle (Gina), Tiffini, Ashlie (Darby), Nathan and Hannah (Quinn); her great-nieces and great-nephews, Bridger, Colby and Alivia; her uncle Larry Bedore (Susan); her aunt Elaine Horn (Jim); and her cousins, Patrick Bedore (Missy), Becky Wilson (Gantley), Deb Smith (Keenan) and Donna Griem (Rennie).
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Rentschler Family Mortuaries Simmons-Rentschler Mortuary (116 W 1st St, Smith Center, KS 66967). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
