It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carmen C. Lamont (Smith Center, Kansas), born in Kirwin, Kansas, who passed away on May 8, 2020, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis Everett and Mildred Irene Waters (Rutherford); her husband Cecil L. Lamont; her son-in-law Curtis Caldwell; and her granddaughter Raquel Jean Pennington.
She is survived by: her children, Dennis Lamont (Elaine) of Phillipsburg, Steve Lamont (Deb) of Kensington, JoAnn Caldwell of Ellinwood, Connie Pennington (Robert) of Downs and Mary Smith of Lyons; and her siblings, Phillip Waters (Rosella) and Amy Schwartz. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Memorials may be given to Humane Society of the High Plains, 205 E. US Highway 40, Hays, KS 67601 and can be sent in care of the funeral chapel.
