He was predeceased by: his father Gilbert Zabala; his brother-in-law William Wilmon; his aunt Mary Escalante; and his grandparents, Raymond, Sr., Virgina Ortega, Guillermo and Ramona Zabala.
He is survived by: his mother Rose Vega (Ortega); his stepfather Moises Vega; and his siblings, Ken Zabala (Theresa), David Zabala (Karmen), Craig Zabala (Cherie), Sipriano Vega, Ronnie Vega (Kelly), Bernadette Willmon and Margarita Henderson (Lance). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
