With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Doris Hurtig (Silver Lake, Kansas), who passed away on March 23, 2024 at the age of 95. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Doris Hurtig to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Ruby A. Kind (Latzke) and Ernest E. Kind; and her brother Robert Kind. She is survived by: her husband William; and her children, Frank Hurtig (Joann Weseloh-Hurtig) of Fort Worth, Texas, Janet Rinehart (late Guy Rinehart) of Topeka, Kansas and James Hurtig (Katherine Hurtig) of Wamego, Kansas.. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Silver Lake United Methodist Church or Emporia State University.
