It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Douglas Omar Bell in Shawnee Mission, Kansas, who passed away on February 2, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Andrew and Mary Emma Bell (Cadman); his siblings, Jack Bell, Mildred Cassidy, Dorothy Ladnier and Alley Bell; his great grandchild Maggie Dahn Phillips; and his nephew Joshua Barker.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Bell; his children, Misty Slemp (Kevin) of Moscow, KS, Billy Bell (Stephanie) of Moscow, KS, Tracy Willis (Brian) of Moscow, KS and Jamie Bell (Reva) of De Soto, KS; and his siblings, Jim Bell (Lorene) of Moscow, KS, Helen Felizen of Park City, KS, Karen Ashbaugh of Ellis, KS, Kay Thompson (Dick) of Kansas City, MO and Rhonda Fondable (Glen) of Ellis, KS. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren, and numerous other relatives and friends.
Viewing was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Robson Funeral Home (314 S Van Buren St, Hugoton, KS 67951). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Moscow Christian Fellowship (300 Main St, Moscow, KS 67952). A burial was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at the Moscow Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family has established a memorial fund for the City of Moscow Park Beautification.
