He was predeceased by: his parents, Opal Hyder and Jacob Hyder; his son Mike Hyder; and his brothers, Marvin and Glenn Hyder.

He is survived by: his wife Shirlee Hyder; his daughters, Carla Ezzell (Danny) of Merriam, KS and Amy Hyder (Paul) of St. Joseph, MO; his daughter-in-law Linda Hyder; his grandchildren, Scott Ezzell (Amanda), Lindsey Burris (Adam) and Todd Hyder; his stepgrandson Ryan Oliphant; and his great grandchildren, Adelyn, Nora, Jackson and Maxwell.
