She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. A. L. Carlton and Laura Carlton (Lewis); her husband Darwin L. Smith; her son-in-law Alan Roop; her grandson Garth Roop; and her siblings, Arlyn, Rev. Lawrence, Glen, James Carlton, Zelfa Neill, Harriett Casey, Naomi Carter and Rachel Carter.
She is survived by: her children, Lois, Ellen, Sarah, Lora, Emily and Lewis. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
