She was predeceased by: her husband James L. Garver; her siblings, Mary Martha Kellogg, Frances Aitchison, Carolyn Hatcher (Cay) of Wichita, F. L. Carson, Jr., Dr. John C. Carson, LaJolla and Calif; her grandson Robert Ruhnke; and her parents, Frank Lee and Carrie May Price Carson.
She is survived by: her children, James Lee Garver (Melinda) of Senoia, GA, Susan Peterson (Harvey), Lucy Cook (Chilson), Newton, Frank Garver (Virginia), Francie Copeland (Bill), Dan Garver (Sue) and Riley; and her sister-in-law Elizabeth Carson of La Jolla, CA. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made in Virginia Garver's memory to Transportation Services, First Presbyterian Church, 525 N. Broadway, Wichita, KS 67214, or the Greenwood County Hospital, 100 W. 16th St., Eureka KS 67045.
