He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Raymond F. Olberding and Mary Margaret Koch Olberding; his wife Marie Ellen Sperfslage; his children, Jason Olberding of Seneca, David Olberding of Seneca, Lisa Olberding of Seneca and Michelle Olberding of Seneca; and his sister Nancy Niehues of Goff.

Memorials may be given in Linus's memory to Sts. Peter & Paul School, sent in care of the family.
