He is survived by: his wife Mary Jane of Mary's Church; his children, Deborah Rethman (Doug) of Seneca, David Hammes (Tarese) of Seneca, Gary Hammes (Kristine) of Topeka, Father Greg Hammes of Olathe and Cindy Hammes of Austin, TX; his siblings, Alvin, Galen of Seneca, Larry of Topeka, Bernice Heiman of Baileyville, Mary Rose Feuerborn of Richmond and Jeanette Becker of Seneca; his grandchildren, Ethan Rethman (Nikki) of Seneca, Cody Rethman, Dylan Rethman (Jenna), Kyle Rethman, Cassidy Rethman, Colten Hammes, Dominic Hammes, Mariana Hammes, Joel Hammes, Max Hammes, Nicholas Hammes (Sara), Julia Hammes, Cecilia Hammes and Samuel Hammes; and his great grandchildren, Easten, Bristol Rethman and Lawrence Rethman.
