It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Father Raj Balaswamy Carasala (Seneca, Kansas), who passed away on April 3, 2025, at the age of 57, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Father leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.
He was predeceased by: his mother Dhanam Carasala (Gorla). He is survived by: his father Raj Balaswamy Carasala (Peter); his sister Zeeta Louie (John Puthota); his niece Joshvi Christina; and his nephew Joe Nikesh.
The lying in state was held on Wednesday, April 9th 2025 at the Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church (411 Pioneer St, Seneca, KS 66538). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. During the COVID-19 pandemic, when the faithful could not gather in person, Father Arul took an innovative step to bless the entire county.
