He was predeceased by: his brothers, Howard, Leonard and Floyd. He is survived by: his wife Marilyn; his children, Lea Ann Mitchem (Joe) of Sedgwick, Jeff Ghere (Jana) of Whitewater and Lisa Jolliff (Rusty) of Newton; his grandchildren, Jacob Mitchem (Sara), Justin Ghere (Clarissa), John Mitchem, Tessa Feemster, Julie Abel (Josh), Leslea Mitchem, Kate Jolliff and Jesse Ghere; his great grandchildren, Dylan Dean, Aubrey Ghere and Jack Ghere; and his siblings, Clyde Ghere (Sharol) of Harper, Carl Ghere (Jude) of Medora and Pauline Oliver (Doug) of Harper. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family.
The family has suggested memorials to The Meeting Place, The Sedgwick Senior Center, Grace Fellowship Church, and The Alzheimer's Association.
