He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Arthur Samuel Davis and Ethel L. Davis (Spivey); his wife Irene L. Ramey; his children, Judy Spellins of Sedan Kansas and Jerry Davis (Debbie) of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; and his siblings, Helen Copeland, Ted Davis and Verla Jackson. He was also cherished by five grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
