He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Shirley Mae Harkness; his children, Dion L. Harkness and Eva Beth Harkness; his granddaughter Lisha Mae Harkness; and his parents, Lloyd Harkness and Geneva Harkness.
Memorials should be made to the Shriner's Hospitals for Children or St. Jude's Hospital.
