James E. Butterfield Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James E. Butterfield of Sedan, Kansas, who passed away on April 5, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse M. Butterfield and Alice E. Butterfield (Millison); and his wife Joy Lynn Slaska. He is survived by: his children, Shelly Nisely of Spearfish, Sam Shufeldt of Cherryvale, Dora Darnall of Tulsa and John Harris of Sedan; and his sisters, Martha Stuckey of Jacksonville and Jean Wilson of Coffeyville, Kansas. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
The family has suggested memorials to the First Baptist Church or the Blue Devil Foundation, 416 E. Elm, Sedan, Kansas 67361.
