He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest R. Meadows and Naomi Meadows (Brown); and his siblings, Dwayne Meadows, Charlene Chamberlin, Carrie Mae Leslie and Margaret McAfee.

He is survived by: his wife Jane Meadows (Wall); his daughter Sara "Sally" Lowry (Mark); his grandchildren, Zachary Lowry of Washington, DC, Nolan Lowry of Gladstone, MO, Catherine Lowry of Manhattan, KS and Elizabeth Lowry; and his great grandchild Ashton Erdos of Kansas City, MO..
