It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard LaVerne Barton of Scott City, Kansas, born in Hutchinson, Kansas, who passed away on August 8, 2022, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry LaVerne and Dorothy Marie Welty Barton; his brothers, Bruce Barton and Kenneth Barton; and his grandson Curtis Emberton.
He is survived by: his wife Joy Barton of Scott City; his children, Rod (Wanda Barton), Chad (Mary Jo Barton), Kale Barton of Scott City, Jill (Gary Hass) and Heidi (Ken Ring); and his brother Donald (Sharon Barton). He is also survived by Nine Grandchildren, and Seven Great Grandchildren.
