It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marlys M. Werth of Schoenchen, Kansas, born in Dell Rapids, South Dakota, who passed away on November 25, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Aaron Martinson and Bessie Martinson (Turner); her husband Ernest J. "Ernie" Werth; her grandson Daniel Werth; and her siblings, Aaron "Marty" Martinson, Roger Martinson, Larry Martinson and Delores Schram.
She is survived by: her children, Ernest J. Werth, Jr. (Geralyn) of Schoenchen and Valerie Gabel (Ron) of Schoenchen; her grandchildren, Frank Werth (Dierdre) of Hays, Jenalyn Leiker (Nathan) of Hays, Aaron Gabel (Colette) of Santee, CA, Nathan Gabel (Kelli) of Hays and Anthony Gabel (Samantha) of Wichita; her granddaughter-in-law Christy Werth of Schoenchen; and her great grandchildren, Allyson Werth, Harley Werth, Olivia Werth, Bryce Werth, Aubrey Werth, Brett Werth, Ahnalyn Leiker, Rexton Leiker, Makailyn Leiker, Reylyn Leiker, Evelyn Gabel, James Gabel, Aurora Gabel, Emma Gabel, Lacey Gabel, Brixon Gabel, Greyson Gabel and Atticus Gabel. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
