He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Werth and Lidwina Werth (Tauscher); and his siblings, Robert, Francis Jr., Irvin Lee, Fred, Glen "Richard", Norman "Steve" Werth and Lillian Graf.
He is survived by: his wife Marlys M. Martinson; his children, Ernest J. Werth, Jr. (Geralyn) of Schoenchen and Valerie Gabel (Ron) of Schoenchen; his sisters, Laurine Werth of Hays, MaryAnn Rendt of Wichita, Genevieve Mendenhall of Hays and Cheryl Kay Thomas of Hays; his grandchildren, Frank Werth (Deirdre) of Hays, Daniel Werth (Christy) of Schoenchen, Jenalyn Leiker (Nathan) of Hays, Aaron Gabel (Colette) of Lakeside, CA, Nathan Gabel (Kelli) of Hays and Anthony Gabel (Samantha) of Overland Park; and his great grandchildren, Allyson Werth, Harley Werth, Olivia Werth, Bryce Werth, Aubrey Werth, Brett Werth, Ahnalyn Leiker, Rexton Leiker, Makailyn Leiker, Reylyn Leiker, Evelyn Gabel, James Gabel, Aurora Gabel, Emma Gabel, Lacey Gabel and Brixon Gabel. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
