He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Howard Bryan and Margaret Edna Bryan (Carmichael); his wife Jean Bryan; his daughter Brenda Postle (Proffitt); and his brother-in-law Terry Allison.

He is survived by: his children, Kren Bryan, Tom Proffitt, Jack Proffitt, Steve Proffitt and Don Proffitt (Missy); and his sister Cindy Allison (late Terry). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 5-great grandchildren, 6 nephews, & 2 nieces.
