He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde F. Groves and Irma Belle Guison Groves; and his son Danny L. Groves. He is survived by: his wife Sissy Alexander; his daughters, Lacie Rothrock of Bentonville, Cassandra Groves Rieck of Pittsburg and Tammie Groves-Smith of Centerton; his stepchildren, Brandon Hunter of Lyons, KS, Leslie Sikes of Carl Junction, MO and Kristy Hinderliter of Chase, KS; and his siblings, Gary Groves of Columbus and Dianna Groves of Columbus. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, April 25th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home & Crematory - Columbus (611 S E Ave, Columbus, KS 66725).

He was a musician most of his life, even after retirement. Grandchildren: Anthony Groves, Avery D Smith, Cody Hyatt, Izzy Chen, Kamdyn Michelle and Brozden Daniel Grandchildren Sam, Adley, Anton, Arlen .He will be deeply missed.”
