He was predeceased by: his parents, John Whitt Rooney and Reba Rooney (Shank). He is survived by: his sister Vickie Rooney McDonald Winans (Gary); and his nephews, Joel Strader (Tracy), Stephen Strader, Sean McDonald (Traci) and Matthew McDonald (Amy).
